Birkás Boxing Team - The Student Community in Mosonmagyaróvár

Birkás Boxing Team is one of Mosonmagyaróvár’s dynamically growing student community, providing a professional and supportive environment for those interested in the sport. The club’s philosophy is simple yet inspiring: You don’t have to be good to start something, but you have to start to become good at it.

The club’s founding is linked to Zsolt Birkás, whose own athletic journey has been a special source of inspirationfor the students. The soccer player first became involved in teaching after an injury, and it quickly became his passion. Building on the experience he gained over the years and his commitment to the sport, he founded Birkás Boxing Team with the aim to inspire as many people as possible to love boxing and to create opportunities for growth for people of all ages.

The Club’s Mission

Birkás Boxing Team is not just a boxing gym, but a close-knit community. During training sessions, participants not only acquire technical skills but also develop their self-discipline, perseverance, physical fitness, and self-confidence. The club places special emphasis on ensuring that everyone finds a training method that suits their own goals, whether it’s recreational sports, competition, or lifestyle changes.

The club’s athletes regularly represent Mosonmagyaróvár at regional and national events. In recent years, they have participated in, among others:

  • Kóczián Cup,
  • Sülsáp Cup,
  • Oláh Boxing Cup,
  • various national training matches,
  • and at student training events. 

In addition to competitions, sparring sessions and joint training sessionswith athletes from other clubs, which are important milestones in development and in gaining competition experience. 

Community Life

Birkás Boxing Team operates with a particularly strong community-oriented approach. The gym regularly organizes open houses, demonstrations, and programs introducing various sports. The club is actively involved in local sporting events, where those interested can get a closer look at the world of boxing.
