Őrség Boxing Club Sports Association – Introduction

Őrség Boxing Club is a dynamically developing and combat sports association based in Ivanc settlement (address: 31 Thököly Imre utca, Ivanc 9931). The club was founded and is run by Lajos Lőrincz, who was himself an active wrestler in the past and then began to promote the sport in the region as a coach. The club's goal is to provide training opportunities, competitive experience, and a sporting community. History and development

  • The club was started in 2012 as a friendly initiative, initially with training sessions held in an old sewing workshop.
  • In 2017, it took a serious turn when enthusiastic young people joined who already wanted to compete.
  • They took part in their first professional gala in Budapest in 2018, where three of their competitors made their debut with victories.
  • Since then, Őrség Box Club has regularly participated in Hungarian and international competitions and achieved numerous successes.

Activities and results

  • The club's main focus is boxing, but it also offers MMA (mixed martial arts) training and competitions.
  • In 2025, two of their competitors, Anita Hidvégi and Zeusz Nagy, won world championship titles at the XFC World Championships in Rome, Italy. Zeusz also won gold medals in two categories (MMA and kickboxing).
  • The club regularly organizes demonstration training sessions and galas, for example in Szentgotthárd, where Zsolt Erdei "Madár" also held training sessions to promote the sport.

Community and goals

Őrség Boxing Club not only offers competitive sports, but also plays an important role in the athletic education of young people and in developing self-discipline and perseverance. The club's motto is: "Perseverance always pays off!" – as coach Lajos Lőrincz often emphasizes.
