Ózdi Géza Úti STE Ökölvívó Szakosztály – The center of boxing in Northern Borsod County
The Ózd Géza Úti Sports and Fitness Association's Section is one of the most influential training and educational workshops in Hungarian wrestling. The club's goal is to teach young people the basics of the sport and prepare them for domestic and international competitions.
What makes STE in Ózd so special?
- Successful track record: Their competitors regularly achieve podium finishes in national championships and international tournaments. In 2024, for example, they won four Hungarian championship gold medals and also performed outstandingly at the Bornemissza Gergely International Memorial Tournament.
- Professional training: Training is led by head coach Márk Molnár, who places great emphasis on strength training, technical training, and competition routine acquisition.
- International experience: The division's competitors regularly participate in international tournaments, for example in London, Romania, and Bratislava, and even provide members for the national team.
Training and opportunities
- Age groups: Applicants must be at least 9 years old, with separate groups for children, adolescents, and juniors.
- Training program: Strength training, technical training, sparring, and preparation for competitions.
