Action in the ring! — The 9th Eger Boxing Cup is coming!

On the last weekend of October, Eger will once again become the capital of domestic and international student boxing. At the 9th Eger Boxing Cup (9th Student Eger Cup), Hungary's most promising young talents and elite fighters will step into the ring to test their strength, technique, and determination.

If you love fast-paced, spectacular, and emotionally charged sporting events, then the ring in Eger is the place for you this weekend! You can cheer on the future champions live and experience the genuine, intense atmosphere of a classic showdown.

🏟️ SPECTATOR INFORMATION

• Location: EVSI Boxing Club martial arts hall (1 Hadnagy út, Eger 3300, on the grounds of the sports complex)
• Date: October 30–31, 2026 (Friday and Saturday)
• Admission: admission to the event is completely FREE for spectators.

Race days and schedule for fans:

• October 30, 2026 (Friday) – starting at 3:00 p.m.: qualifying rounds and semifinals. This is when the most matches will be shown, with nonstop action in the ring.
• October 31, 2026 (Saturday) – starting at 12:00 p.m.: the day of the finals. Here, the fight is for the final gold medals and the cup, so the action is guaranteed to be at its peak.

Organizers:

The Student Sports Section of Eger Municipal Sports School (EVSI) and the Hungarian Student Sports Federation (MÖSZ).
Age Groups:

Open international cup in women’s and men’s categories: U13, U15, U17, U19, and Elite (adult) age groups.

📅 Official schedule and technical program:

• October 29, 2026 (Thursday) — Registration Day
  • Arrival of international and rural teams; check-in at accommodations.
  • Official technical meeting and preparation of the draw for team leaders.
• October 30, 2026 (Friday) – Day 1 of the Competition
  • 8:00 a.m. – 11:00: General medical examination and official weigh-in on site.
  • 3:00 PM: Ceremonial opening, followed by the start of the qualifying matches.
• October 31, 2026 (Saturday) — Day 2 of the Competition
  • 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.: Mandatory daily weigh-in and medical examination for boxers still in the competition.
  • 12:00: Start of the final matches, followed by a formal announcement of the results and an awards ceremony.

Important Administrative Information:

Competitors may only participate with a valid sports medical certificate, a certified athlete’s booklet, and equipment that complies with MÖSZ regulations. The draw and live score tracking will be available on the official BoxerBase website.
